There are several catering sites between Caroline Springs and the Melton Township. The objective of the role is to deliver professional, effective, and efficient operations of Council’s Catering Service, and provide a high level of food presentation and customer service. Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation, warming, stocking and distribution of food and beverages at the catering site. Maintain a high standard of customer service, venue presentation and food preparation. Complete all day‑to‑day cleaning tasks to ensure a high standard of hygiene is maintained. Assist when required to set up tea/coffee stations and provide a waiting service for corporate meetings, events and functions. Ensure working conditions and practices are in accordance with Occupational Health & Safety requirements and adhere to all guidelines in the Food Safety Program. Support the Team Leader with stock ordering and collection of goods from suppliers. Ensure all cash handling policy and procedures are adhered to at all times. About You To be successful in this role you will have the following: Relevant experience in the Food Services Industry Completion of a Food Handlers Course is desirable. Ability and commitment to provide excellent customer service. Ability to work in a team environment and achieve quality outcomes. Relevant experience or on‑the‑job training in the Food Services Industry. Ability to perform and have an understanding of manual handling techniques. Must hold or be able to obtain an Employee Working with Children Check.
