EOI - Head of Department (Curriculum) - Annandale State School Join to apply for the EOI - Head of Department (Curriculum) - Annandale State School role at Queensland Government Annandale State School is seeking a temporary Head of Department - Curriculum (HOD‑C) to support curriculum implementation and mentor teacher practice. As a large primary school in Townsville with approximately 750 students from 32 cultural groups, Annandale State School offers a diverse and vibrant learning community. The HOD‑C collaborates closely with other HODs, EAL/D and Library staff, deputy principals, and the principal to ensure the delivery of engaging units of work that meet the learning needs of all students. This is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months. Your Responsibilities Lead curriculum implementation with teams of teachers. Develop and collaboratively plan units of work that meet the learning and engagement needs of students. Support teachers through the modelling of evidence based teaching practices. Lead moderation practices across multiple junctures of planning and assessment. Lead a team of staff to provide physical and human resources for successful curriculum delivery. Work collaboratively with teachers to develop innovative responses to units of work and assessment that provides student engagement and quality assurance of teaching outcomes.
