Principal House Officer/Registrar , Queensland Health Part time, Full time, Contract, Casual/Temporary Experience the true essence of rural medicine as a Principal House Officer/Registrar at the new Kingaroy Hospital. In this role, you’ll deliver high-quality, hands‑on clinical care across Emergency, Anaesthetics, Obstetrics and Indigenous Health, supported by an experienced and passionate team of Rural Generalists and Specialists who are eager to help you grow. What your day will look like…. Each day brings a rewarding mix of clinical variety and learning opportunities as you care for patients in the Emergency Department, inpatient wards and outpatient clinics. You'll make meaningful connections with your community, collaborate closely with senior clinicians, and gain exposure to a wide scope of practice that builds both confidence and capability. Supported by mentors who value your development, you'll contribute to teaching sessions, case discussions and quality improvement activities—all while shaping a career that reflects your professional interests and passion for rural health. Do you have the following: MBBS or equivalent. Current AHPRA General or Specialist Registration. Minimum of two years practice within the Australian healthcare system is preferred. Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification is required or willing to complete upon commencement. Evidence of recency of clinical practice, supported by current references. You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $150,240 (L9) comprising salary rates between $129,583 (L4) and $150,240 p.a. (L9), professional development allowance, professional development leave 1.6 weeks p.a., and professional indemnity cover. Superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) will be applied additionally to the total remuneration value.
