Full-Time Chef Manager | Aged Care | The Basin Posted: 05/11/2025 Closing Date: 05/12/2025 Job Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: VIC: Melbourne Job Description About The Role: Cater Care is seeking a passionate Full-Time Chef Manager to lead the culinary team at our aged care residence in The Basin, Victoria - a peaceful suburb nestled at the foothills of Mount Dandenong. As Chef Manager, you will bring your expertise and leadership to deliver a refined dining experience that reflects both quality and care. You’ll manage a well-structured kitchen, champion excellence in food presentation and safety, and inspire your team to achieve outstanding results every day. The site is conveniently located close to public transport and provides on-site parking for your comfort and ease. Roster: Monday to Friday, 9:30 am - 6:00 pm Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and motivate an on-site culinary team to deliver excellence in every service Oversee all aspects of food preparation and presentation, ensuring high-quality, nutritious meals for residents Manage and support large-scale cooking operations with efficiency and precision Drive exceptional customer service and foster a culture of care and professionalism Ensure compliance with all food hygiene, safety, and quality standards Oversee the preparation and presentation of texture-modified and special dietary meals Collaborate with the Operations Manager in recruitment and team development initiatives Desired Skills and Experience The Ideal Candidate Will Have: A current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate Proven experience in a similar leadership role or within aged care culinary services Strong organisational, communication, and time-management skills The ability to lead with confidence and professionalism, with a commitment to excellence in every detail What's In It For You: $85,000 + Super Uniform provided Access to a wide range of employee benefits and discounts across 450+ national retailers Ongoing support for training, licensing, and professional development Access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) through Acacia Connection Who We Are: Cater Care is a leading, 100% Australian owned contract catering service provider, operating across multiple sectors (Aged care, Education, Retirement, Retail and Remote services).
