Permanent, Full Time Position - 1.0 EFT (80hrs per f/n + ADO) Social Worker Grade 3 Located at The Greenhouse, Alfred Hospital About The Team The Greenhouse is an acute inpatient assessment unit at the Alfred Hospital which consists of 15 beds and is staffed on an interdisciplinary model with 24-hour nursing care. As it is a unit treating patients with acute conditions there is an expectation that patients will be discharged to their original address or other more appropriate environments as soon as they are ready for discharge. Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) sessions are usually conducted on Mondays and Fridays as required. About The Role The role of the Social Work senior position is to strengthen the social work team and allied health team within inpatient services. With an expanding graduate program and social work leadership role, this position will support the Principal Allied Health Leads in delivering supervision and support to the SW graduate positions, OT2 positions, and Allied Health Assistant Positions. The position also supports day to day oversight, clinical guidance and leadership within an expanding Allied Health Program. This position will also provide advanced evidence based therapeutic interventions, group therapy, training and leadership for complex cases on the inpatient ward. Teaching, education and implementation of research and quality improvement activities for the clinical specialty are also important components of the role. Essential Skills & Experience Eligibility for membership of AASW (Australian Association of Social Workers) Bachelor of Social Work, or recognised equivalent. 5+ years relevant post graduate experience with relevant acute health care provision. 7+ years of relevant clinical care work. Experience in the provision of supervision and/or mentorship Satisfactory Working with Children Check Desirable Masters or working towards Accredited mental health SW in accordance with AASW requirements Experience working in aged mental health or inpatient settings Benefits Salary Packaging & Novated Leasing through Maxxia.
