Principal Injury Management Consultant – Workplace Health & Safety Injury Management and Wellbeing Workplace Health & Safety Injury Management and Wellbeing is seeking applications for a Principal Injury Management Consultant to join the team. As The Principal Injury Management Consultant You Will Provide authoritative advice to senior managers of the branch and employees of the department on specific issues relating to the injury management area of human resource management policies and practices. Lead the operations of the Central Office Injury Management Team in the development of the department’s injury management policies, systems and procedures which deliver efficient and effective human resource management services. Your Role As the Principal Injury Management Consultant, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Provide professional direction, leadership and consultancy services to regionally based injury management personnel, senior management and other clients on a range of injury management activities. Provide leadership and direction to the injury management team to effectively manage all departmental employees WorkCover and QSuper claims. Provide direction, guidance and leadership to the injury management team members, assess their work performance and provide appropriate feedback. Lead and oversee the injury management team in the development, implementation, maintenance and review of programs, systems, policies and procedures to support the delivery of injury management services. Provide high level advice to the Director, Organisational Safety and Wellbeing and senior managers of the department on a broad range of injury management policies, systems and practices. Prepare briefing material and reports for the Director‑General and senior departmental officers on substantial human resource management issues related to the functional activities of injury management. Coordinate or assist in the planning and facilitation of training for central and regional office staff in relation to injury management. Establish and maintain a network of Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinators in central office and liaise with officers from other agencies and organisations to provide support and professional development and promote, monitor contemporary injury management issues. Represent the department at high level negotiations in a variety of forums on issues relating to the functional activities of the injury management area. Develop departmental management plans and materials for specific injury management activities.
