Our Kings Cross and Bondi Community Services Centre is a safe and welcoming space where visitors find dignity, support, and belonging. We are seeking a Team Supervisor to help lead this important work. Working alongside the Community Services Manager, you’ll support the day-to-day operation of the centre, supervise frontline staff and volunteers, and ensure high-quality, trauma-informed care is delivered to every visitor. The role is full-time, Monday - Friday 1:30PM - 9:30PM in Kings Cross, supporting daytime and after-hours programs. As Team Supervisor, you will: Support the Community Services Manager in overseeing daily operations and resources Supervise and support frontline staff and volunteers, ensuring positive workplace culture and alignment with Wayside’s mission and values. Manage shift duties including staffing, visitor intakes, referrals, activity schedules, and incident responses. Provide leadership during pre-briefs, debriefs, and handovers, ensuring consistent and safe service delivery. Build strong relationships with internal teams to improve visitor outcomes. Encourage reflective practice, wellbeing, and continuous improvement within the team. Contribute to risk management, WHS, and incident reporting processes to ensure safety for staff, volunteers, and visitors. Assist with rostering, volunteer engagement, and workforce support across day and evening operations. About You - Selection Criteria You’ll be a compassionate and practical leader community service professional with the ability to stay calm under pressure and guide others through complex situations. You bring: Tertiary qualifications in Community Services (or related training and experience). Demonstrated experience working with at-risk populations, including people affected by trauma, homelessness, AOD, mental health, and people from Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, and CALD backgrounds. Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to support both staff and visitors. Experience supervising teams and working collaboratively with volunteers. A commitment to trauma-informed, evidence-based practice. Alignment with Wayside’s mission, vision, and values. Why Wayside?
