About The Project The Lake Macdonald Dam is located in the Noosa hinterland and is part of the South East Queensland drinking water supply operated by Seqwater. John Holland Has Been Awarded The Contract To Undertake The Largest Upgrade To The Dam Since Its Installation In 1965 As Part Of The Seqwater Dam Improvement Project, With a Project Value Of $420M. The Upgrade Will Include But Not Be Limited To Pre-construction Approvals, Procurement and Site Establishment Lake Lowering and Aquatic Salvage Installation of Upstream Coffer Dam Cofferdam, Spillway Demolition and Working Platform Dam Construction Reinstatement, Rehabilitation and Demobilisation About The Opportunity As construction of LMDIP (Lake Macdonald Dam Improvement Project) gets under way, John Holland is actively recruiting a Safety Undergraduate to join our team. Based on site at Lake MacDonald, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of this iconic project. We are looking for motivated and driven Safety student, eager to gain hands‑on experience working on one of the Sunshine Coast's most transformative projects. Key Duties & Responsibilities Include Monitoring safety performance on the project with direction and guidance from our Safety Manager and Safety Advisors Preparing accurate high-quality reports Liaising with subcontractors to gain progress updates, safety, quality and completion data Providing support to the wider project safety team to gain exposure on safety systems, reporting, data quality amongst others Liaise with Site Supervision and provide assistance and direction on safety matters Follow established procedures, gather and correlate basic data and perform routine safety support duties as directed Key Requirements A 3rd or 4th year student (Health, Safety & Environment, Occupational Health & Safety or other associated disciplines) Available to work at least 2 days a week for the next six months minimum Essential: drive, motivation and an enthusiasm to learn We want you to be with us for the long-term, so providing you with rich career experiences and ongoing development is our priority.
