We’re looking for Casual Food & Beverage Staff to support our hospitality team across the different restaurants & bars at Taronga Western Plains Zoo. About the Role… Based at Dubbo’s Iconic Taronga Western Plains Zoo, Wiradjuri Country Monday to Sunday Casual role Casual Pay Rates: Mon to Fri Rates $21.47 (17 years) to $34.64 (21 years +) plus weekend penalties where applicable Diverse Work Locations: Serve drinks in the Wild Work in bars & restaurants with stunning views - with the opportunity to pick up extra hours in cafes too. Shifts: With multiple locations we have varying shifts available Monday to Sunday. Evening shifts predominantly 1:30pm – 9pm or 5pm – 9pm.Breakfast shifts 8am – 11amEvents shift vary but include weekends with late nights Multiple Positions: Whether you prefer day or night shifts, we have multiple positions available to suit your schedule. Customisable Hours: Discuss your preferred minimum/maximum hours per week – perfect for school-age children with weekend availability only or those seeking 20-30 hours per week Extra Shifts: Take advantage of the opportunity to pick up additional shifts during holiday periods, weekends, or whenever your availability allows. Deliver high quality customer service in order to provide excellent guest experience and promote repeat visitation. Work effectively as a member of a high performing team to assist Taronga in its achievement of strategic outcomes. Undertake general waiting duties of both food and beverage, including preparing and clearing tables, taking orders, making/serving drinks, customer service & more. Comply with Taronga’s Customer Service Charter and suggest initiatives for further improvement to ensure industry leading standards are maintained. Comply with and suggest sustainability practices in the workplace to help achieve Taronga’s sustainability targets and reduce environmental impact. Comply with and report any Work, Health and Safety incidents in line with Taronga’s Work, Health and Safety Charter.
