We are excited to announce a full-time opening for a passionate and dedicated woodwork teacher, commencing in Semester 1, 2026, with the possibility of an earlier start date in 2025. Part time is negotiable. Salary ranges are CT1 $91,587 – CT9 $136,997 per year. (pro rata if part time) Relocation allowance can be discussed for successful candidates. For staff who have children attend the College, a substantial school fee discount is allocated. Essential Qualifications & Experience: A recognised teaching degree or qualification. Current Ochre Card (Working with Children Card in Northern Territory). Current TRB registration. NT White Card or the ability to obtain one. Qualifications in Design & Technology, Industrial Arts, or a related field preferred. Demonstrated experience or strong knowledge in teaching woodwork/wood technology. Strong understanding of safety protocols in a workshop environment. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver curriculum-aligned woodwork lessons that are hands‑on, engaging, and cater to a diverse range of learners. Teach skills in woodworking, joinery, furniture construction, tool use, and machinery operation. Promote and enforce strict adherence to health and safety procedures in the workshop at all times. Develop and assess practical and theoretical tasks aligned with curriculum outcomes. Maintain and manage tools, materials, and equipment in the woodwork workshop.
