The Role Our Investigations team plays a vital role in making Crown a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. Reporting to the Head of Investigations, the Senior Investigator will lead enquiries into a range of matters—both criminal and civil—as they arise within the company or as directed by management. As part of the Crown Investigations team, you’ll be the central contact point for Crown Perth in responding to inquiries from law enforcement agencies. This role may also involve discreet surveillance on the gaming floor to help identify excluded patrons and address potential risks. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, sound judgment, confidentiality, and professionalism. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough investigations and prepare clear, accurate reports Identify and report potential links to organized crime Take comprehensive statements to support investigations Respond to inquiries from law enforcement agencies promptly and professionally Ensure compliance with relevant internal controls and reporting requirements Perform discreet surveillance operations when required to identify risks or assist law enforcement Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external agencies Meet all compliance and reporting obligations related to regulatory bodies About You Experience in investigations, surveillance, and statement taking within the gaming industry, law enforcement, or related fields—or transferable skills from similar roles Strong research and analytical abilities Effective problem‑solving and collaborative decision‑making skills Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders Qualifications Minimum requirement of tertiary study in related field (e.g., Bachelor of Criminology or similar). Certificate IV in Investigation (highly desirable but not essential). Demonstrated experience in compliance and reporting related role.
