Australian Citizens residing in Australia with Baseline Clearance only respond. Contract start 17 July 2023 to 6 months, 2 x 12 months extensions. The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) has undertaken an initiative called Hitchhiker program to improve its biosecurity risks response under the recently established Biosecurity Strategy and Reform Division. Under this initiatives DAFF wants to digitise its existing manual processes as well as upgrade existing client engagement applications. The program requires full stack developers to work with Product owners, Project Manager, and Business Analyst in multiple projects that can work across multiple technology stacks to deliver outcomes that improve risk management capabilities across the cargo pathway and the movement of shipping containers of imported goods into Australia. Your initial focus will be developing user interface components, build business processing logic layer, conduct data access management by using well-known patterns and libraries such as Material-UI. The platform is being built using the latest technologies and cloud-based architecture, utilizing the power of platform services. You will ensure that these components and the overall application is scalable, robust and easy to maintain. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team and collaborate with developing other aspects of the product. You will be part of a scaled agile team and must demonstrate your ability to work in an agile product development environment. The ideal candidate will have: Substantial experience with .Net and or .Net Core with C#. Experience in development of RESTful services, Microservices, API Development and integration. Experience with using Azure components, services and functions for rapid code development, deployment, and integration. Substantial web application development experience, preferably with modern Single Page App development e.g., React 16.8+ or Angular 2. Strong collaborative attributes and a proactive approach to sharing knowledge amongst peers. Solid documentation skills to produce detailed design documents - create, maintain and update DevOps Wiki. Proficiency in unit test development and unit testing practices. Experience in the use and development of RDMS solutions e.g., Microsoft SQL Server. Familiarity with CI/CD and version control systems e.g., Microsoft Azure DevOps, and GIT. Experience with Material-UI and design systems generally. Experience with Visual Studio and VS Code. Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements. Experience working in an agile team with agile practices e.g., SCRUM. Every application requires to address selection criteria as part of application submission. 1. Proven experience in large scale full stack development using React or angular framework, C#.NET and .NET Core. 35 % 2.
