Your New Role A CEDWW Education Officer Works collaboratively with their designated Education Services Team/s to support the ongoing provision of a high quality Catholic Education for all students across the Diocese with a focus on Inclusive and Diverse Learning. Contributes to the development and implementation of an innovative school and System improvement agenda focussed on improving practice in order to improve outcomes for students. Commits to team building and loyalty to the CEDWW Central Office Leadership Team. Position Description attached here. Salary: Grade 8 $125,800.00 - $159,172.18 base excluding superannuation (dependent upon experience and qualifications) Essential Criteria You will need knowledge of the following legislation: Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act, 1998 Disability Discrimination Act, 1992 Disability Standards for Education 2005 Privacy Act, 1988 Work Health and Safety Act, 2011 Work Health and Safety Legislation, 2017 Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD) Postgraduate academic qualifications additional to initial teacher training and evidence of personal responsibility for ongoing relevant professional learning Qualifications and/or significant professional experience in Special Education or Inclusive Education Accreditation for Leadership (Category C, Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools, Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga) or working towards Accreditation Awareness of effective learning principles in the professional development of teachers Capacity to work collaboratively with other professionals in non-school based positions and school communities Effective communication, interpersonal, leadership and organisational skills Understanding of the use of data to inform teacher practice and student learning improvement Experience as an Inclusion or Special Learning needs teacher and/or school leader in the K-12 education sector Current Drivers Licence Current NSW Working With Children Check Successful candidate to undergo a National Criminal History Check Applications and Enquiries If you are interested in this position and would like further information, please contact Alexandra Harvey via email at or phone .
