Road Transport (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Full time Polymer Connect is a national Australian owned family business specialising in the bulk supply chain, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction, innovation and developing our people. As a Driver/Operator in Brisbane, you will be responsible for transporting bulk container loads and using specialised trailers for discharging into factory silo’s efficiently and safely throughout the METROPOLITAN area and surrounding regions. The role requires a good understanding of Brisbane’s road network and a strong customer satisfaction focus. There will also be times where operations will need the Driver/Operator discharging at our depot and you will be required to assist the ground crew. This role is mainly Monday to Friday 6am – 4pm with the odd Saturday morning. ATTRACTIVE SALARY + OVERTIME + SUPER for the successful applicant. Specific Responsibilities Ensures trucks are operated effectively and efficiently to achieve Polymer Connect goals and objectives Ensures trucks are maintained on a daily basis following manufacturer’s specifications Ensures plant is operated and loaded in a safe manner following safe work method statements and manufacturer’s instructions Ensures truck is correctly and securely loaded to weight and safety limits and driven according to road regulations Ensure compliance with all safety, fatigue, Heavy vehicle operating guidelines, and company procedures Utilise knowledge of Brisbane's roadways, GPS navigation for route planning Are able to work UNSUPERVISED and be a Teamplayer Qualifications & Requirements Ability to pass an HV Health Assessment for Commercial Vehicle Driver Current Heavy Combination (HC class) and/or multi-combination (MC class license).– RMS Print Out Required. Knowledge and understanding of the applicable Heavy Vehicle National Laws and Regulations Proven ability and experience driving 25-38 tonne trailer articulated vehicles Basic Literacy and Numeracy skills to follow written communication and complete standard forms Experience in general labouring duties and small plant operations Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Residence Must pass a National Police Check in Australia High-Risk Work Licences such as White Card, Forklift, or Reach Stacker licenses Experienced in driving heavy bulk vehicles and other heavy machinery Ability to work autonomously using a proactive approach to task resolution For more information about this role, please contact Jason at *************@polymerconnect.com.au Applications sent via email or from employment agencies will not be considered.
