Partnerships and Education Manager

The Careers Department is a SaaS tech platform that services 780 schools nationally. We are solving the problem that we’ve all experienced at one point; “Which career should I pursue; and how do I know I am making the right choice?”. We work with schools to teach young people what the future of work could look like. We are looking for someone to join the business who can help us onboard, train and manage our industry partners at scale. We have just launched a new arm of the business, an employer login / industry portal. This new tool allows industry partners (from local small businesses to large scale multi‑nationals) to share work experience and job‑related opportunities directly with students. This is the perfect role for someone who wants to be involved in the growth of a new technology platform and who is eager to work strategically to scale a new vertical within a successful EdTech. The role suits someone who enjoys working with other people and building relationships. The Opportunity We are seeking a Partnerships Manager to join our team working from our Surry Hills office in Sydney. This role blends partnership development, client management, program design, facilitation, and project delivery. You will work to grow school, university, and industry partnerships, support program implementation, and deliver high‑quality careers education experiences aligned to curriculum frameworks, workforce needs, and client objectives. Key Responsibilities Partnerships, Stakeholder Engagement & Growth Build, manage, and grow partnerships with secondary schools, universities, employers, and community organisations. Identify and progress new partnership opportunities across education and industry. Lead onboarding, implementation, and ongoing relationship management with school and industry partners. Support employer engagement and collaboration on virtual work experience and careers content. Contribute to marketing, communications, and promotion of The Careers Department programs. Education Consulting, Program Design & Delivery Develop and refine careers education content and program materials (internal and client‑facing). Design and deliver teacher professional learning, workshops, and information sessions. Facilitate sessions with educators, students, and industry stakeholders (online and face‑to‑face). Work with schools to tailor implementation approaches and maximise student engagement. Support alignment to curriculum frameworks, careers guidance standards, and school priorities. Research, Evaluation & Project Support Support data collection, reporting, and evaluation of program usage and outcomes. Assist with project coordination across multiple school, region, or industry workstreams. Maintain clear documentation, processes, and implementation resources. Contribute to continuous improvement of programs, tools, and delivery models. Support internal capability building, facilitator training, and content rollout. Selection Criteria Experience in careers education, employability, youth education, or workforce development. Demonstrated experience in partnerships management, stakeholder engagement, education consulting, or program delivery. A relevant tertiary qualification. High‑level facilitation and presentation skills with educators and young people. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to manage projects, timelines, and multiple stakeholders. Ability to work autonomously, prioritise effectively, and deliver to a high standard. Interest in industry engagement, future workforce trends, and student career pathways. Strong attention to detail, with design capability in Canva.
