*Job summary*
The Java Developer needs to perform design tasks and develop components of application and technical architecture and thorough understanding of the software
Development life cycle, ability to write well-structured, easy to maintain code.
*About the role*
* Design, Development, Testing and Implementations of an Application modifications and enhancements.
* Optimization and performance tuning of the implementation.
* Interaction with various business teams for requirement specifications ,attending technical walkthroughs and solving the business problems technically.
* Continuous software Integrated Build Systems.
* Code and configuration deliverable for items on the Program of work.
* Support and troubleshooting for applications in Production and Pre-Production environments.
* Managing Customer expectations and leveraging technical experience and knowledge of industry road maps.
* Review and integrate the technical architecture requirement for the development, execution and operations environments.
* Support and troubleshooting for technology migration activities.
*Skills and experience *
* Tertiary qualification relating to Computer Science or Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience.
* Good experience in analysis, design, development, code review and testing of Java applications and expert in writing readable and reusable code components.
* Having good experience in developing SOAP based web services and also certified RESTful web service developer.
* Extensive work experience in Software Development Life Cycle and software development methodologies like Agile and Waterfall.
* Good knowledge in using the performance analysis tools like Jmeter and Jprofiler and code quality tools as well like Sonarqube.
* Extensive experience in using CI tools like Jenkins for build and deployment of code and troubleshooting issues in the same.
* Well versed with XML related technologies like XML Schema and XSL.
* Good knowledge in Java 8 , J2ee, JavaScript , HTML, Servlets, JDBC, JSP, Apache Maven and frameworks like Swing, Spring & Hibernate.
* Good Knowledge in Superannuation Administrative System and Australian financial market.
* Working knowledge of the tools like Eclipse, SQL Developer, SOAP UI, SVN, JIRA and Service Now.
* Having good knowledge and experience in testing frameworks like Junit and Jmockit.
* Having knowledge in Gateway and middleware applications like ESB.
* Strong database design, programming and troubleshooting skills in SQL and PL-SQL for Oracle 12g.
