BlueCare | Statewide Palliative Care Service | Clinical Nursing Consultant Blue Care is looking for a Clinical Nursing Consultant to join our specialised Palliative Care Team delivering high quality end‑of‑life care across rural and remote Queensland. About the Role As a Clinical Nursing Consultant you will provide high quality leadership and expert palliative care advice relating to complex care issues as well as delivering nursing care within the scope of our clinical practice. You will develop, implement, monitor and review care plans to meet client health‑care needs and promote quality of life. Supported by our Nurse Practitioners, you will work towards our belief that every Queenslander deserves peace of mind to receive quality palliative care in their own home. Our program provides holistic, multidisciplinary services across metropolitan and regional Queensland. Key Responsibilities Lead and provide expert palliative care advice on complex care issues. Deliver nursing care within the scope of the clinical practice. Develop, implement, monitor and review individualized care plans. Advocate for clients and their families to promote quality of life. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including Nurse Practitioners. Participate in travel assignments in Townsville or Cairns. What Makes a Difference For Us Current Registered Nurse Licence and Registration Certificate in the state of employment. Extensive clinical experience in palliative care and postgraduate qualifications or working towards them. High standard of flexible, responsive management and clinical leadership. Experience and knowledge in relevant funding streams. Ability to attend to a variety of travel assignments for varying periods. Mid to senior level general nursing experience with person‑centred care. Proven ability to communicate and interact with clients and stakeholders. Current driver's licence with confidence to drive within rural and remote Queensland. Employee Benefits Salary packaging up to $15,900 a year for living expenses and $2,650 for meal entertainment.
