We’re seeking an experienced Jumbo Operator to join our Remnant Mining Team at Rasp Mine in Broken Hill NSW. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the safe mining of new development and rehabilitation of existing tunnels and contribute to a high-performance underground environment. If you are safety-driven, technically strong and eager to support mine development, this is a great opportunity to join a stable long-term mining operation. About the Role As a Jumbo Operator, you will: Operate development drilling rigs and other underground equipment safely and efficiently. Conduct pre-start inspections and maintain equipment to high standards. Understand and implement Mining Instructions, Survey Memos and Rehabilitation Plans. Perform scaling, ventilation checks, and ensure work conditions are safe for you and your colleagues. Identify hazards, follow all safety procedures, and contribute to a safe work environment. Report equipment issues, manage consumables responsibly, and minimize waste. About You We’re looking for someone who has: Underground development jumbo experience. Competency in the operation of jumbos, ITs, and other mobile equipment. Strong safety awareness and hazard recognition capability.Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate documentation. Physically fit and able to work 12.5 hour shifts in underground conditions. Ability to work at heights. A high standard of safety, discipline and teamwork is essential.
