Loss Prevention Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Loss Prevention Specialist to join Brandbank. Reporting to the Group Loss Prevention & Inventory Manager, you will play a key role in protecting company assets, reducing shrinkage, and ensuring compliance across all retail, warehouse, and office locations. You will manage the online fraud and chargeback function, provide tactical guidance based on data analysis, and serve as a subject matter expert supporting teams across the business. The Role Conduct analytical reviews to support investigations into theft, fraud, policy violations, and safety incidents. Review e-commerce orders for potential fraud and act on chargebacks and trade practice breaches. Liaise with law enforcement and external partners when required. Implement and enforce loss prevention policies and SOPs across all locations. Perform routine audits, safety inspections, and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities. Recommend enhancements to physical security, environmental design, and operational procedures. Investigate theft, fraud, and policy breaches, including evidence collection and reporting. Prepare confidential incident reports for compliance reviews and potential prosecution. Train store and warehouse teams on loss prevention policies, conflict resolution, emergency procedures, and best practices. Monitor POS activity, exception reports, and inventory adjustments to identify unusual patterns. Develop strategies to reduce financial risk and improve policy compliance. Conduct regular audits of inventory and physical assets. Prepare monthly reports on audit and investigation outcomes. Monitor surveillance systems and exception reporting tools to detect suspicious activity. On-site role 5-days per week, based in our St Kilda Road offices. The Ideal Candidate Minimum 5 years' experience in retail loss prevention, security, or risk management. Relevant tertiary qualification in Security, Risk Management, or a related field preferred. Experience in investigations, compliance audits, and e-commerce fraud management. Knowledge of chargebacks, unauthorised transactions, and online marketplaces. Proficiency in Google Sheets, Excel (VLOOKUP, formulas), Power BI, or SQL reporting is highly desirable. Experience with Dynamics is a plus but not essential. High integrity, attention to detail, and strong problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication, training, and stakeholder management abilities. Strong analytical and reporting skills. Experience with security systems (CCTV, EAS, RFID). Ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines, and work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment. Why Join the Brandbank Group Team?
