About our Client Our client is a well established Australian grower and exporter with a strong presence across global markets. Their export program is built around categories that result in year‑round volume and a genuine need for an experienced Export Logistics Manager (and team) who enjoy consistent pace and volume. Our client is aiming to increase their export volume significantly over the next few years and to support that they are looking for a leader who can tighten process, build team capability and help the operation to ‘scale’ effectively. The Opportunity You will lead the full export logistics function, working on site in Melbourne with a small team and supporting them to lift accuracy and efficiency across documentation, systems and day‑to‑day workflow. Specific accountability includes: Leading a small team handling export documentation and administration, plus liaison with key freight forwarding partners. Supporting the wider export team by creating smoother systems and reducing operational ‘noise’, particularly during periods of fluctuating demand. Helping reduce reliance on spot trading by improving forward and contingency planning, and adapting quickly to changing customer requirements. Working closely with current and highly valued freight forwarding partners, yet being open to considering additional supply chain solutions as export volumes rise. The Successful Candidate In depth experience leading a temperature controlled international supply chain. Expertise in export operations, either from the customer or 3PL / freight forwarding side. Confidence and capability working with consistent pace, high volumes and fluctuating demand. A collaborative approach, strong leadership qualities and expertise in coaching and process improvement.
