Lawyer Recoveries & Settlements Job No: Locations: Sydney (Inner Suburbs & CBD), Brisbane (Inner Suburbs & CBD), Melbourne (Inner Suburbs & CBD), Various Employment Type: Permanent Full Time Department: Legal Pay Band 4 Lead litigation strategy across high-volume motor claims Flexible locations of Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney Career development through internal mobility and learning support Join our Incorporated Legal Practice to manage high-volume motor litigation matters and contribute to strategic legal advice. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to maximise recovery opportunities and deliver commercial outcomes. What You'll Do Provide litigation services and legal advice that protects the Group's interests and aligns with risk appetite Manage a portfolio of litigated motor claims driving resolution through negotiation, mediation and court appearances Partner with Recoveries & Settlements Shannons and National Litigation teams to deliver strategic legal solutions Attend informal settlement conferences and mediations ensuring commercial outcomes Support team members and contribute to a high‑performing collaborative legal team Identify opportunities to reduce external legal spend and improve operational efficiency What You'll Bring Admission as a Solicitor or Barrister in any Australian Court with a current Practising Certificate Tertiary qualifications in Law (mandatory) Experience in litigation ideally within insurance or financial services Ability to simplify complex legal concepts for diverse audiences High ethical standards and integrity in all working relationships Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills both written and verbal If you require any support and adjustments to participate equitably in our recruitment process or in the workplace we encourage you to contact us for a confidential conversation.
