Solution Architect

A leading Financial Services provider is seeking a Solution Architect with a strong background in software development (Java, front-end, mobile) to join their team on an initial six-month contract (with potential to extend). In this newly created role, the successful candidate will be working on a customer loyalty program, with a number of small releases to be delivered in the first six months. There will be some interface with payments systems, though experience working on loyalty programs would be highly regarded. While this is a Solution Architect role, there may be a requirement for this role to be hands‑on in terms of engineering. Tasks and responsibilities include the end‑to‑end design and definition of technical solutions and roadmaps, writing high‑level design documents, and working closely with the development team to ensure the build aligns to the design. To be successful in this role you will need : Tertiary qualifications and / or relevant industry certifications TOGAF) Demonstrated Solution / Application Architecture experience gained within large, complex environments Proven background in software development, preferably in Java and experience in front end or mobile languages Superior communication skills coupled with exceptional stakeholder engagement skills Ability to consult and provide advice and guidance internal stakeholders and technical teams Strong problem solving skills combined with an innate ability to negotiate and influence An attractive daily rate is on offer for the right candidate.
