About the Role As an Assistant Warehouse Manager in Chipping Norton, New South Wales, you play a vital role in supporting the Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient, safe and customer‑focused warehouse operations. The position contributes to reliable service delivery through effective inventory control, staff coordination, freight handling and adherence to Independence Australia’s operational, safety and quality standards. Assist in coordinating daily warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, packing and dispatch, to maintain consistent workflow and service levels. Monitor stock movements, support accurate inventory control and liaise with freight providers and suppliers to resolve delivery and logistics issues. Provide guidance to warehouse staff, support training and onboarding, reinforce procedures and escalates performance or operational concerns when required. Promote a safe working environment through OH&S compliance, equipment checks, incident reporting and participation in audits and quality improvement processes. Use ERP and warehouse systems to process orders, maintain records, assist with operational reporting and contribute to ongoing process and system improvements. About You You bring 2–3 years of warehouse operations experience, including exposure to supervisory or team‑lead responsibilities. You hold a Certificate III in Warehousing Operations, Logistics or equivalent, or have demonstrated experience that meets the required competency level. You have a current forklift licence and practical experience operating both reach and counterbalance forklifts safely and efficiently. You communicate clearly, support team members effectively and contribute to a positive, collaborative warehouse culture. You manage competing priorities well, use ERP systems confidently and apply sound problem‑solving skills to day‑to‑day operational challenges.
