Sewing Machinist & Roman Blind Maker for Boutique Workroom Gilligans Blinds and Custom Furnishings – Mulgrave VIC Sewing Machinist – Custom Roman Blinds & Soft Furnishings Gilligans Blinds & Custom Furnishings is a boutique workroom located in Mulgrave, specialising in custom-made Roman blinds and soft furnishings for the interior design industry. We are seeking an experienced sewing machinist to join our small, friendly team and contribute to the production of high-quality, beautifully finished products. Hours are negotiable for the right applicant – casual, part-time, or full-time considered. Key Requirements Experience handling and sewing high-quality and delicate fabrics using: Industrial plain sewing machine Walking foot sewing machine Overlocker Blind hem sewing machine (preferred but not essential) Ability to measure and cut fabric accurately Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to precision and exceptional workmanship Fluent in English, with the ability to follow both written and verbal instructions Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude Reliable, punctual, self-motivated, and have a proactive approach We’ll provide full training in our specialised methods for making Roman blinds to ensure consistency and quality across all our work.
