Your Role We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and passionate educator for the position of Classroom Support Assistant (First Nations Education) at St Mary's Catholic Primary School, Mackay. This is a term-time continuing position for 20hpw, commencing from 27 January 2026. Selection Criteria A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and spiritualities. An ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, their families and school staff to improve educational outcomes through targeted and direct academic support. About you An understanding of, and a commitment to, the ethos of Catholic Education. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. The ability to work well either individually or collaboratively as part of a team, and to accept direction and support. The ability to adapt and be flexible within a dynamic educational setting. What we offer Competitive salary range – School Officer Level 3 hourly rate from $34.19 to $35.64.
