Spectrum Space is a not for profit organisation that provides a range of services for kids on the Autism Spectrum. We see incredible potential for young autistic individuals. Our mission is to deliver quality services to young Western Australians with autism to enable them to connect successfully with others and the world around them. Using a strength-based approach, our Telethon Holiday Makers Program runs during the school holidays and provides a safe and inclusive environment for our neurodiverse kids to grow in confidence and build connection with their peers Responsibilities Assisting in the supervision of autistic young people; Preparing materials and setting the environment for the activities and packing up after the activities; Encouraging participants to interact with one another and to participate in activities; Recording weekly observations, goals and case notes throughout the term; Joining in on the activities, creating an environment of fun and inclusivity. Qualifications & Requirements Ability to autonomously engage participants; Ability to confidently swim a distance of 50m; Ability to care for children/teenagers/young adults with a disability; Ability to follow detailed instructions; Ability to maintain confidentiality; Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills; Working with Children Check; NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
