About the Role We are seeking a passionate and experienced Childcare Educator (Room Leader) to lead our 0–12 months age group room . This is an excellent opportunity for an educator with strong leadership skills and a commitment to high-quality early childhood education to join our dedicated team and play a key role in shaping the earliest stage of children’s development. Key Responsibilities General Child Care Duties: Preparing and implementing developmentally appropriate learning experiences for infants aged 0–12 months. Assisting with the preparation of materials and equipment for sensory, cognitive, and social activities. Supporting infants’ social and emotional development and responding sensitively to their individual needs. Supervising infants’ daily routines, including feeding, sleep, hygiene, and interactive playtime. Creating nurturing interactions through reading, singing, music, and age-appropriate play. Ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for all infants during indoor and outdoor activities. Additional Room Leader Responsibilities: Leading and mentoring a team of educators to deliver exceptional care and education for infants. Designing and implementing tailored programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). Observing, documenting, and reporting on each child’s development, progress, and individual needs. Building strong, respectful partnerships with families and maintaining regular communication regarding their child’s growth and wellbeing. Ensuring compliance with National Quality Standards (NQS), regulatory requirements, and centre policies. Organising room schedules, routines, and educator rosters to ensure a nurturing, consistent, and engaging environment. Qualifications and Requirements: A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher) is required. Demonstrated experience working with infants aged 0–12 months, ideally in a leadership or room leader capacity. Strong understanding of the EYLF, NQS, and child safety standards. Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional team. Fluency in both English and Mandarin is highly desirable to support our diverse community. Why Join Us? Competitive salary of $74,000 – $80,000 per annum.
