Mooney Valley Lunch Group Volunteer

We are seeking a volunteer who can support the planning, organising and delivery of our Moonee Valley Lunch Group which takes place on the 3rd Friday of every month. The lunch group is a volunteer‑led program which supports older people 65+ with their social connection and health and well‑being. The program is attended by clients and other volunteers and is based in the Essendon, Pascoe Valley and Maribyrnong areas. We are looking for volunteers who have sound administration skills with the ability to organise the lunch gatherings, including choosing suitable venues, providing pick‑up and drop‑off for clients when needed, and recording attendance. The key tasks would be: Find suitable venues within the Essendon, Pascoe Valley and Maribyrnong areas and willingness to travel within these locations Make phone calls to venues and book spaces Email communication Drive and pick up and drop off clients is desirable This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys planning and organising social gatherings or looking to build your skills.
