Freshwater Christian College is seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Science Teacher to join our vibrant school community. As a Secondary Science Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality science education to our students, inspiring them to explore the wonders of the natural world. Role As a Secondary Science Teacher, you will be responsible for: Developing and implementing high-quality lesson plans aligned with the Australian curriculum. Creating a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment. Participating in professional development and school-wide events. Working collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the school’s science program. Mentoring students and acting as a positive role model. Commencing on 16 January 2026 , this position is full-time. Relocation assistance is available. What we're looking for Relevant tertiary teaching qualifications Valid registration or eligibility for registration with the Queensland College of Teachers Demonstrated experience in teaching science at the secondary school level, with a strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum Full alignment with the values, virtues, and Christian beliefs of Freshwater Christian College. The ability to affirm and adhere to the College’s Statement of Faith. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with and engage students A passion for science and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in young minds Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to the broader school community Possess the legal right to live and work in Australia.
