Base pay : A$90,000.00/yr – A$90,000.00/yr The opportunity Are you a seasoned Electronics Technician with a passion for precision and innovation? If so, we want you to join our team As a Senior Electronics Technician at IMDEX, you will play a crucial role in assembling, servicing, and repairing specialised instruments that are essential to our operations. Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and calibrate specialised electronic instruments to high quality standards. Assemble and package products efficiently, meeting defined turnaround and delivery KPIs. Ensure accuracy in documentation, service records, and ERP system entries. Drive continuous improvement through root cause analysis, 6S compliance, and lean practices. Collaborate across teams to support product availability, new part integration, and NPI processes. Qualifications In-depth knowledge of motion-sensing technologies (gyroscopes, accelerometers, magnetometers) and their integration into electronic systems. Proficient in using diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes and signal analyzers for circuit and signal analysis. Strong understanding of power electronics, including testing and fault isolation of voltage regulators, converters, and output devices. Advanced component-level fault diagnosis with the ability to interpret schematics and recommend corrective actions. High proficiency in soldering, including SMT rework and installation using appropriate tools and techniques. Experience working in lean/6S manufacturing environments with solid knowledge of ISO9001 quality standards.
