Whyte Orthodontics are looking for a friendly natured person to join our dynamic team as a dental assistant/admin. This position will be based predominately in our Red Hill clinic with travel required to our Thornlands clinic and regional clinic in Moranbah (a travel allowance is part of the arrangement for these locations) , monthly, for one or two days. If you have a desire to learn or expand your dental knowledge in dental or orthodontics, you will have the opportunity to work chairside with an Orthodontist who holds impeccable reputations in the industry. Administration work and instrument sterilisation duties will be required in this position. We are looking for a dental assistant who happy to do reception and admin as part of the roll . A university student will not be suitable for this role. This is a full time position Monday to Friday, with no weekend work required. This role is primarily chairside with occasional administration and sterilisation duties. This position is located predominantly in our Red Hill rooms as well as work at our Thornlands clinic and monthly one or two day regional clinic in Moranbah. Please note travel to the locations mentioned is a requirement for this role however travel is compensated. About You You will need to have good customer skills, a friendly disposition to your colleagues and patients, and be able to take and follow instructions. You will need to be a team player, patient focused, and be a self‑starter with regard to using your initiative and logic. If you have dental assisting experience but no reception experience, we will provide specific reception/admin training as needed. A minimum of 1+ years of dental assisting experience is required for this position. Australian work rights are required for this position. Duties & Responsibilities Chairside assisting for all Orthodontic dental procedures Monthly, one or two day regional clinic in Moranbah Recording notes Sterilisation of instruments Handling of orthodontic equipment between practices Intraoral 3D scanning (training will be provided) Outstanding customer service to our clientele and families A friendly, pleasant and reliable work ethic The benefits Join a small team within a practice that prides itself on collaborative and social work culture.
