CAD Designer (Microvellum /AutoCAD Specialist) Are you a detail-oriented designer who thrives on transforming creative visions into technical realities? Xzibit is looking for a talented full-time CAD Designer to join our team and help us bring immersive experiences to life. We’re not just a design agency—we’re leaders in crafting impactful exhibition stands, museum exhibits, and visitor centre displays. Our in‑house team delivers end-to-end solutions, from the first client conversation through creative development, technical design, production, and final installation. Our portfolio includes iconic projects for Star Wars, Lego, Boeing, Volvo, Magic Millions, and many more. What Will You Be Doing? This role is perfect for a CAD professional who loves bridging the gap between creativity and precision engineering. You’ll work closely with our design and production teams, turning concepts into detailed technical drawings and CNC‑ready files that ensure every project is built to perfection. Technical & Creative Production Create complex, accurate digital diagrams using advanced Microvellum CAD software (preferred). Prepare precise CNC files and site plans for exhibitions and installations. Ensure all production drawings meet industry standards and manufacturing requirements. Maintain CNC machine calibration and troubleshoot machining-related issues. Work closely with our creative, production, and logistics teams to deliver seamless project handovers. Support tradespeople by clarifying technical drawing details and providing clear construction documentation. Contribute to continuous improvement through project debriefs and knowledge sharing. Your Skills & Experience You’re a great fit if you combine technical expertise with a collaborative, solutions‑focused mindset. Technical Expertise 2+ years’ experience in joinery, shopfitting, or manufacturing fabrication. Proficient in CAD software, with a strong preference for Microvellum. Solid understanding of technical and architectural drawings. Experience with CNC machine operation. Strong mathematical skills (arithmetic and geometry). Knowledge of Enroute and SketchUp is a plus. Attention to Detail High standards for your work – you always check twice to deliver once. Meticulous approach to technical drawings and specifications. Ability to translate creative concepts into buildable, accurate documentation. Problem‑Solving & Communication Proactive in identifying and resolving technical challenges.
