YMCA Shailer Park Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Service is located at the Shailer Park State School.
The service is licensed for 70 children per day and operates from 6:30 am to 8:30 am in the morning and 3 pm to 6 pm in the afternoon during school terms.
We also operate during school holidays for Vacation Care (6:30 am to 6 pm).
Our service offers a wide range of fun, stimulating, and diverse programs that reflect real-world experiences and home settings.
This helps encourage a sense of community amongst our children, facilitates leadership skill development, and allows children to practice social skills in a supported and caring environment.
Programs and activities are aligned with the YMCA Mission – to provide opportunities for children to grow in body, mind, and spirit – underpinned by our values of Honesty, Caring, Respect, and Responsibility.
We blend this philosophy with the National Quality Framework 'My Time Our Place' and Wooloowin State School's educational principles to develop appropriate, engaging, and most of all FUN activities for your child whilst in our care.
Our Educators escort Prep children to and from their classrooms, as well as all children to and from extra-curricular activities.
