A Friendly, Focused And Driven Team, We Look To Bring On Staff With The Right Attitudes And Values To Provide The Best CARE For Our Residents Core Values Collaboration Accountability Respect Empathy About The Role We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Officer to assist in maintaining the building and grounds of this state‑of‑the‑art facility to a high standard, with regard for the comfort and wellbeing of residents, and advising on replacement or repairs as required. Skills And Requirements Experience in building maintenance and gardening, landscaping Knowledge of the Aged Care industry is desirable Thorough understanding of all legislative requirements pertaining to maintenance and repairs (OH&S & Fire/Evacuation) Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks including use of tools and equipment Willingness to contribute to after‑hours maintenance requirements from time to time Excellent communication skills and respect for residents and colleagues Previous experience working autonomously with limited direction Ability to make decisions about costs and priorities and document a full plan for work to be completed Supervise and monitor grounds and systems Contribute to the support of aged care residents by providing quality service as required, and with respect to dignity and privacy Essential Victorian driver’s licence Reliable with a strong work ethic Valid police check, less than 12 months old Preferred Trade qualification (e.g., Landscaping or OHS Qualification) Benefits & Work Culture As a purpose‑led, not‑for‑profit organisation, our staff’s health and wellbeing are important to us.
