About the work unit / facility The Mental Health Resource Team within the Mental Health Service Group (MHSG) provides specialist consultation and liaison services to enhance culturally responsive care for consumers from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds. Based in Townsville, the team collaborates across multidisciplinary services to improve access, equity, and outcomes for mental health and substance use care. Competitive salary and benefits Salary between $64.64 – $69.55 per hour (HP4). 4 to 6 weeks p.a. recreational leave with 14-17.5% loading. Generous employer contribution to superannuation of 12.75%. About this opportunity As the Multicultural Mental Health Coordinator, you will lead culturally responsive mental health care for CALD consumers through consultation, workforce capability building, and stakeholder collaboration. This role offers the chance to influence service delivery, provide specialist advice, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives within a dynamic multidisciplinary environment. Requirements Relevant tertiary qualification and registration with the appropriate professional board (Psychology, Occupational Therapy, or Social Work). Demonstrated ability to deliver high-level clinical services and culturally responsive care within a consultation and liaison model. Advanced communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills. Current C-class driver's licence. Evidence of vaccination against VPDs as per Queensland Health policy.
