The Role As a General Practitioner, you will deliver clinical care onsite at a secure defence facility. This will include providing routine and after-hours medical support, ensuring the health and wellbeing of staff in a dynamic, high-stakes environment. This role is suited to GPs with sound clinical judgment, strong patient focus, and adaptability working within a multidisciplinary team. Key Duties Deliver medical care for staff onsite during clinic hours and on-call after hours. Conduct health checks, take patient histories, and perform physical exams. Diagnose conditions and advise patients on treatment plans. Prescribe and manage medication according to practice guidelines. Keep accurate patient records, always following health information policies. Ensure patients get continuous care and timely follow-ups. Provide effective customer service to help patients access the care they need. Arrange specialist referrals when further care is required. Review and act promptly on lab, imaging, and other diagnostic reports. Help update clinic protocols and support process improvements. Unconditional Registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency). Minimum five years' experience as a General Practitioner. Current ALS and CPR certification. Strong clinical skills and patient care focus. Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively in multidisciplinary teams. Commitment to professional integrity, safeguarding, and patient wellbeing. Previous experience in defence, remote, or operational settings is highly regarded.
