Queensland's passenger rail network is undergoing significant transformation in response to unprecedented growth and emerging demands. In the next decade, various large rail infrastructure investment projects and system enhancements will be delivered which will change the way people move. To ensure a co‑ordinated approach in the delivery of this large rail infrastructure pipeline, TMR has established a Rail Infrastructure Delivery Office. The current significant rail projects Rail Infrastructure Delivery is responsible for includes the Beerburrum to Nambour Rail Upgrade Project – Stage 1 ($1.004 billion). The Beerburrum to Nambour Stage 1 Rail Upgrade Project (B2N) will contribute to a safe, efficient, and effective rail network that meets the current and future needs of the Region by improving capacity, reliability, and safety. The purpose of the Temp Advisor (Finance) is to help deliver financial support (procurement, financial operations and compliance) to the B2N project and broader Rail Infrastructure delivery team, as well as facilitate the production of effective and timely monthly reporting to enable effective decision making. Some of your responsibilities will include As part of the B2N Finance team, your role will help deliver these financial functions as directed by the Senior Advisor (Financial Controls). Provide advice and direction to “low and moderate risk” procurement to ensure maximum value and benefit from supplier relationships. Operate effectively across both project and program‑level financial environments, supporting the delivery of Beerburrum to Nambour specific functions while aligning broader financial reporting, governance, and performance frameworks within the Rail Infrastructure Delivery Office. Develop and maintain complex spreadsheet models for analysis. Prepare timely and accurate analytical monthly reporting to management. Contribute to continual process improvement and implementation within the finance function. Liaise and negotiate internally within the Branch and externally with the Contractor's Commercial Manager (where necessary). Contribute to the on‑going management and development of staff within the B2N team. Applications remain open for 12 months.
