Role Step into a key risk leadership position where you’ll shape how technology-enabled change is delivered across Auto & General. As the Manager Risk in Change (Technology), you’ll champion a consistent and effective approach to identifying and managing delivery risk for major change initiatives utilising technology-related systems. Brief Description You’ll partner closely with delivery teams, initiative owners and senior leaders to uplift capability, strengthen risk practices and ensure the business has clear, reliable insights on the risk profile of our change portfolio enabled via Technology delivery. If you enjoy influencing, coaching, evaluating complex solutions and providing independent oversight, this role gives you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact at enterprise level. Position Accountabilities Lead the rollout and continuous improvement of our Risk in Change framework, tools and guidance for delivery and delivered technology related risk. Coach delivery teams and support technology risk owners to mature their approach to risk management. Deliver clear insights on the risk posture of tech-driven change across the Group. Build strong relationships with technical leaders, business owners and other stakeholders to understand priorities, technical solutions and risk considerations. Provide specialist advice on technology controls, security impacts and architectural risks linked to change initiatives. Challenge and review project risk assessments to ensure material issues are surfaced, understood and escalated appropriately. Produce independent risk commentary and reports for senior leaders, sponsors and Steering Committees. Stay ahead of industry trends and internal learnings to uplift our methodology and overall risk maturity. What Experience You’ll Bring Extensive experience in risk management (ideally with hands‑on exposure to Risk in Change or major transformation programs). Strong background in technology risk, cybersecurity or information security. Proven capability operating in a second line oversight role with sound judgement and the confidence to challenge. Ability to navigate complex tech environments and evaluate architecture, configuration or engineering impacts. Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, particularly with senior technology and business leaders. Clear, impactful communication skills (including the ability to simplify technical risk for Executives). Experience developing risk insights, training, or supporting materials for diverse audiences. Understanding of delivery methodologies, project governance and PMO practices. Financial services experience is beneficial but not essential.
