Job Opportunity – This no easy role and please make sure you have read this add before applying Responsibilities The service operation for this business is massive and we need a proven Service Manager that can hold down the pressure but also work with the internal management to succeed and win the hearts and minds of the long‑term staff. To give you a breakdown of this role the overall scope is as follows – 12x techs in the workshops 8x Field Service Techs You will also have the parts department working with you and senior management, its your job to understand and know exactly what is happening on the floor at any time. With New equipment getting delivered, Service problems, parts issues, warrantee problems, stock availability, breakdowns, Service issues, Lack of staff, recruitment of new staff, training, trucks being unloaded and then general running of the operation. Even down to paper work and making sure your admin team are all over each machine delivery your day is 100% on the go and none stop and you need to make sure you are always on it. There is no way of saying that this role is hard work and we need a superstar that not only has run a busy workshop but somewhat can handle the pressure. Look at the operation and make improvements through business management. With a new IT system going in and UpToDate on time servicing the business needs a proven leader. This role has a 2‑year expectancy due to the stress and pressure that comes with it. You will need to have a strong handle on the operation whilst also managing your management team. Its critical that you know exactly what happening on the workshop floor at any one time. From new builds, Used equipment, Parts Support, Technical support, machine deliveries down to the smallest of issues with customer. We need a proven Operation / Service manager that knows what it takes to run a fast‑paced busy operation. Candidate Requirements In this role you need have a strong service management aptitude and be passionate about providing technical support through the branch channels. You’re going to be dealing with all walks of life within Australia. You need to be able to change your direction and have strong level professional courtesy and have skills to get people to always listen to you. You must be driven to succeed and renowned for your strategic business thinking, technical expertise and solution-focused approach, encompassed by your ability to deliver exceptional customer service and technical strategies. The focus to the role is to develop and deliver high quality customer service and make mark in the industry. Key Attributes Must Have experience working as National a or a Service Manager. You must be able to show that you have or running a larger workshop, We are open to look at Automotive, trucks, forklift or anything similar. The key here is that you can handle the pressure and above add value when its busy. Mechanical and/or Trade qualified Can do Attitude with a solution focussed direction. Excellent communication and written skills Driven to make a difference within your career You must be living in the Newcastle area and worked for Australian OEM or dealership.
