Position: Sports Annotation & Analysis Expert Type: Independent contractor Compensation: $40–$45/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 40 hours/week Role Responsibilities Review and refine AI-generated captions and event annotations for various sports videos. Identify and validate actions, transitions, and sequences relevant to each sport, including playmaking and scoring attempts. Assess timing accuracy and contextual descriptions within recorded clips. Provide structured feedback to improve AI recognition of real-world sporting activity. Collaborate asynchronously with a research team to refine annotation standards. Qualifications Must-Have Deep familiarity with at least one of the listed sports through playing, coaching, officiating, training, or sports analysis. Demonstrated understanding of game rules, athlete movement, and event terminology. Excellent attention to detail and ability to describe sports events precisely and objectively. Comfortable working independently on remote annotation platforms. Preferred Prior recognition, certifications, or awards in the relevant sport. Familiarity with data annotation or prior experience in AI annotation work. Compensation & Legal Independent contractor status. Payments issued weekly via Stripe Connect.
