Working arrangements: Attendance to undertake the work at the Canberra premises is required for a minimum of 3 days per week.
Length of contract: 12 Months
Contract extensions: 2 x 12 months
Security clearance: Must have Negative Vetting Level 1
Rates: $120 - $150 per hour (inc. super)
Services Australia is seeking an Identity Management Data Engineer. They will use their in-depth knowledge of data engineering to provide expert advice on the assembling of large data models extracted from the Agency's identity management systems to build reporting for business owners and stakeholders.
The Identity Management Data Engineer works under the broad direction of senior staff to deliver quality outcomes. They will exercise a considerable degree of independence, with decision-making substantially dependent on their high-level judgement and consideration of wider departmental implications.
In performing a technical leadership role, the Identity Management Data Engineer drives innovation, enhance reporting capabilities, and organises work in the context of competing priorities and strategic direction.
Key duties may include, but are not limited to:
Extraction of large and complex data sets from Agency Identity Management System.
Creation of custom reports for Services Australia and our shared services agencies including NDIA and DVA using requirements from business owners.
Monitoring and development of regular reporting for use internally and externally.
Manage the administration and operation of the database or reporting.
Share knowledge and expertise as the subject matter expert and provide assistance and mentorship to colleagues.
Primary Technologies required for role include:
Power BI, Apache Directory Studio.
Essential Criteria
Sound technical knowledge and experience with Power BI.
The ability to build and maintain complex Power BI reports based on large data sets.
Desirable Criteria
Sound technical knowledge and experience with Power BI.
The ability to build and maintain complex Power BI reports based on large data sets.
Knowledge and experience with Identity Management Systems and methodology.
Knowledge and experience with Apache Directory Studio or similar.
