In this role, you will: ✅ Coach leaders to own safety and build capability across stations and plants ✅ Drive real-world safety practices – from incident response to risk control ✅ Audit and activate the core safety system across sites ✅ Embed safety into regional projects and contractor oversight ✅ Lead emergency readiness, high-risk works, and site compliance ✅ Be the go-to advisor for WHS strategy, trends, and practical implementation This is your chance to step into a high-impact role , shape safety culture and bring safety to life across a diverse and growing operation. What You’ll Bring Proven Experience 5+ years in operational safety roles across high-risk industries Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management, and contractor oversight WHS qualifications – Cert IV or Diploma (minimum) Leadership That Lands A hands-on leader who builds safety ownership at the ground level Confident in incident response, coaching in the field, and driving system use Skilled in approving high-risk work and implementing WHS plans on-site Personal Impact Practical, grounded, and respected by frontline teams Visible, calm, and composed in high-pressure environments Walks the talk when it comes to integrity, responsibility, and authenticity Field Fit Comfortable travelling across multiple stations (this role will look after our NSW operations, traveling around the Riverina, Broken Hill area and Bylong) Adapts easily to remote environments and connects well with local teams Hewitt is committed to the goals of equal opportunity employment.
