Job / Project Description – Business Analyst (Cyber IAM) We are seeking a skilled and analytical Identity and Access Management (IAM) Business Analyst to join our team. The IAM Business Analyst will serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and security professionals, ensuring that IAM initiatives align with organizational goals and deliver measurable value. Responsibilities Collaborate with business leaders, IT teams, and security professionals to understand IAM requirements, challenges, and opportunities. Facilitate workshops, interviews, and focus groups to gather requirements and elicit stakeholder feedback. Document and analyze existing IAM processes, identifying inefficiencies, gaps, and areas for improvement. Create process flow diagrams, swimlane diagrams, and other visual aids to communicate complex IAM processes. Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications for IAM solutions. Develop functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and use cases. Work closely with developers, architects, and project managers to ensure accurate and comprehensive requirements. Evaluate the potential business impact of IAM-related changes, including new technologies, policy updates, and process improvements. Assess associated risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruption and maximize benefits. Assist project managers in planning, executing, and monitoring IAM projects. Support the development of project charters, scope statements, and other project documentation. Participate in project meetings, provide status updates, and help resolve issues. Prepare and present clear, concise, and actionable reports on IAM initiatives, progress, and outcomes. Facilitate knowledge sharing and training sessions to educate business users on IAM best practices and tools. Contribute to the ongoing refinement of IAM processes, policies, and procedures. Stay current on IAM trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements, sharing insights with stakeholders. Experience Minimum of 3 years' experience in business analysis, with at least 1 year in an IAM or cybersecurity context. Proven track record of managing IAM requirements, projects, or initiatives. Experience collaborating with IT teams, security professionals, and business stakeholders. Skills Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical‑thinking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex IAM concepts to non‑technical audiences. Proficiency in process mapping tools (Lucidchart, Visio, draw.io). Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools (Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project). Knowledge of identity and access management principles, best practices, and regulatory requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST, COBIT). Preferred Qualifications Experience with IAM technologies such as Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Okta, or similar identity and access management solutions. Familiarity with cloud‑based IAM solutions (Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Google Workspace). Knowledge of identity governance, administration, and analytics.
