YEAR 12 PHYSICS; YEARS 7 -10 SCIENCE and/or HASS PART-TIME (0.6 FTE) Negotiable to lesser FTE HillSide Christian College is an evangelical, Christian school located in Forrestfield, with an approximate enrolment of 460 students from 4-year-old Kindy to Year 12. HillSide Christian College is seeking a part-time Teacher to deliver Year 12 Physics, and Lower School Science and/or HASS, with a potential mixture between Year 7 to 10 classes. The advertised 0.6 FTE is negotiable to a lower FTE. The position commences Term One, 2026. There is potential for an initial one or two-year fixed term contract with the possibility of conversion to ongoing status. Salary is based on the College’s Teacher Pay Scale and negotiable on qualifications and experience. KEY EXPECTATIONS Secondary Teachers with capability to deliver: Year 12 ATAR Physics Lower School Secondary Science and/or HASS (Y7-Y10) Successful applicants will be practising evangelical Christians, who are able to demonstrate and work within the College’s Christian framework. All teachers will need to accept the College’s Code of Conduct (including Statement of Faith) and meet all compliance requirements. All teachers will be expected tobe able to teach from a Christian worldview. HOW TO APPLY Applicants s hould be able to demonstrate their personal faith in Jesus Christ as God and Saviour and demonstrate their active membership in an evangelical Christian Church. An applicant should be a dynamic teacher with high-level skills, proven experience and the desire to work within a Christian team setting. All applicants must include: Cover letter outlining their suitability for the role within the context of HillSide Christian College, in the secondary school setting (maximum two pages): Demonstrating their experience and ability to successfully teach Year 12 Physics, and Lower School Science and/or HASS. Discussing their educational philosophy and how they would contribute positively to a teaching role in the context of HillSide Christian College; Current CV outlining qualifications, church membership, professional referees, contact details, and career history. A written reference from a Pastor/Elder or the contact details of a Pastor/Elder who can be contacted for a verbal reference in regard to the applicant’s Christian faith, character and practice. A copy of compliance documents named in the dot points below: a current Working with ChildrenCard (WWCC); Interviews and referee checks will be integral to the selection of any candidate.
