About the Role We are seeking an Accountant to join our collaborative team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment, has strong analytical skills, and takes pride in delivering accurate financial information to support key business decisions. Key Responsibilities Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. Manage general ledger maintenance, reconciliations and journal entries. Support month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met. Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts and variance analysis for management review. Collaborate with internal and external auditors for statutory and regulatory compliance. Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation. Provide timely financial reporting and analysis to support operational and strategic decision‑making. Assist with process improvement initiatives within the finance function. Contribute to the preparation of tax returns and compliance documentation as required. Essential Criteria Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. Demonstrated knowledge of accounting standards and principles. Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in financial processing. Experience with accounting software packages such as SAP, Oracle or similar ERP systems. Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines in a dynamic accounting environment. Commitment to confidentiality and ethical financial practices. Desirable Skills & Experience CA/CPA qualification (completed or in progress) highly regarded. Experience in accounting roles within the transport, logistics or stevedoring industry. Exposure to financial reporting in a multi‑entity or international business structure. Knowledge of taxation, payroll and statutory compliance requirements.
