Our professional, busy, and easy-going Rhodes-based family is looking for a warm, trustworthy, bubbly, reliable, and attentive long-term nanny with a childcare background. We seek someone who is caring, active, creative, organized, clean, and able to take feedback constructively. Both parents work from home frequently, so it is essential that the carer respects the family’s lifestyle and supports their parenting approach. Essential Requirements Driving is required for children's activities, and a car will be provided. Nanny Immunisation Requirements: Whooping cough, COVID-19, and Meningococcal (all strains). Pet Dog – A Cavoodle, is energetic and playful, so the carer should be comfortable around dogs. The eldest child will attend preschool 2 or 3 days a week starting in February 2025. Prefer candidates with a childcare background. Extra ad‑hoc hours may be required on weeknights and weekends. A family trip is planned for 2025, and the carer will accompany the family for a week. Candidates should hold either an Australian passport or a passport that allows visa‑free entry to most countries. The ideal nanny will take a proactive role in creating fun and educational experiences for the children and will have experience caring for children of a similar age. The nanny should utilize positive reinforcement, being gentle but firm. Seek a nanny who is creative and can expose children to new experiences and activities. A bubbly and warm personality is essential. A caring nanny who has the children’s best interests at heart and can contribute positively to their growth. It is important that the parents can trust the nanny and maintain open and honest communication. Responsibilities Organizing and planning creative and educational activities for the toddler. Ensuring a safe and hygienic environment. Preparing and tidying up meals for the children. Attending swim lessons. Collaborating with parents to support the children’s growth and social development. Maintaining all aspects of the care routine for the children. Providing ad hoc support for casual events. Driving the older child to swimming, sports, and gymnastics classes using the family’s car. Running occasional grocery errands, walking the dog, and handling light household duties when possible. Supporting the eldest child’s preschool schedule of 2 or 3 days a week in early 2025. Qualifications & Requirements A full valid driver’s licence (car provided). Non‑smoker. Ability to swim. Minimum of 5 years of full‑time experience working with children in Australia. Minimum of 2 Australian‑based child‑related references. Current Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain ASAP). Current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain ASAP).
