Join to apply for the Director role at Queensland Government The sole focus of this role is to lead the department's enterprise bargaining team through negotiations and bargaining campaign. The Director, Enterprise Bargaining is expected to utilise subject matter expertise, strong stakeholder and union relationships, and leaderships skills to drive the department’s upcoming enterprise bargaining processes, to achieve fair and reasonable conditions for both employees and employer. As The Director, Enterprise Bargaining You Will Lead the department's enterprise bargaining team through negotiations and bargaining campaign, with the objective of delivering an enterprise agreement which is aligned to the department's strategic plans and whole of government objectives. Lead and collaborate in consultation and negotiations with senior executives, key stakeholders, departmental work units, professional associations, employer representatives and central agencies. Direct the research and analysis of employee and industrial relations matters for purposes of enterprise bargaining and related activities. Advocate on behalf of the department in the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission and other tribunals, in workplace bargaining negotiations and presenting to a number of diverse audiences on employment relations matters. Develop and present high level discussion papers, correspondence, briefing material and advice on a range of complex employment relations issues associated with enterprise bargaining to internal and external key stakeholders Lead and oversee projects with a specific focus on industrial relations outcomes associated with enterprise bargaining, including for example, the development and evaluation of departmental policies and procedures relating to enterprise bargaining matters. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within tight timeframes, ensuring adherence to deadlines without compromising accuracy or attention to detail. Ensure the department's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff members are consulted through enterprise bargaining processes and enterprise bargaining outcomes are in alignment with the department's cultural capability framework and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island workforce strategy. Establish and maintain networks and liaise with officers from other agencies, unions and other external bodies to promote and monitor contemporary employee and industrial relations matters. Represent the department in intra and inter-governmental forums. Identify and solve workforce problems through generating options and developing relevant risk mitigation strategies, for consultation through bargaining processes. Oversee the drafting of submissions, correspondence and executive briefing notes on matters relating to industrial relations matters associated with enterprise bargaining. Demonstrate the ability to manage and deliver on competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within tight timeframes, ensuring adherence to deadlines without compromising accuracy or attention to detail. Other suitable duties, consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the nominated delegate. There are no mandatory requirements for this role, however we value relevant experience in enterprise bargaining and/or tertiary qualifications in industrial relations, law, business or human resources.
