Sunnysights Independent Living – Gympie QLD Sunnysights Independent Living are leaders in professional in‑home support services for NDIS participants with complex needs. Our talented and dedicated team deliver exceptional care through patience, respect and understanding, tailored to our participants’ interests and needs. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Team Leader within the Gympie Region to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead a team of dedicated Disability Support Workers to deliver person‑centred services to our clients. The Team Leader will oversee daily operations, ensure the delivery of high‑quality care, and support the professional development of team members. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and support a team of Disability Support Workers to provide high‑quality, person‑centred care. Support participants in daily living and assist in the provision of food preparation, eating, dressing, maintenance of personal hygiene, and general household chores. Oversee the implementation of individualized support plans to meet clients’ needs and goals. Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards, including NDIS Quality and Safeguards. Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions to ensure ongoing professional development for the team. Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, and external stakeholders. Monitor and report on service delivery outcomes, identifying opportunities for improvement. Address and resolve any incidents or issues that may arise in service delivery. About You Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within the disability sector. Strong knowledge of the NDIS and the disability support framework. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team in a collaborative environment. Compassionate, client‑focused approach with a commitment to enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities. Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure. Essential Qualifications & Experience Experience working with participants who have complex disabilities and behaviours, including verbal escalations. Certificate III in Disability, Community Services, or related field (or working towards). Current First Aid and CPR certification. NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain). Valid Australian Driver’s License & comprehensive insurance certificate.
