Community Rehabilitation Unit (CRU) CRU is an adult outpatient rehabilitation service working with clients with a diverse range of diagnostic conditions. CRU staff work with clients to achieve their goals in our well-equipped centre and in the client's home and community. CRU is located at the Repatriation Centre, 90 Davey Street, Hobart. The Role Senior physiotherapist position in the CRU. Permanent part-time day-worker, working 68.4 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Lead and deliver high-level physiotherapy clinical expertise in assessment, diagnosis and therapeutic intervention programmes. Undertake specialised physiotherapy clinical assessment and treatment. Provide clinical direction, support and resource development for specialised clinical areas to physiotherapists. Assist with the development of the physiotherapy services through planning, evidence-based practice, quality improvement and research activities and clinical placements for undergraduate students. Responsibilities Assess plan and implement treatment programmes for patients requiring physiotherapy. Educate patients, carers and other members of the health care team. Provide clinical leadership and support for Level 1-2 Physiotherapists, Allied Health Assistants, Physiotherapy students, and work experience students. Deliver specialised assessment and treatment to diverse client groups. Details of Appointment Permanent part-time day-worker position, working 68.4 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. For a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies. Salary $110,425 to $121,907 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of Benefits and Allowances Living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. Professional Development Allowance up to $1,000 per annum. Travel and relocation assistance support up to $15,000 for overseas appointees and up to $10,000 for interstate appointees. Eligibility Tertiary qualification / program of study approved by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia. Registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia Registration / licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment.
