About The role We're after an experienced photographer with a skill set for corporate portrait and lifestyle photography to join our growing team. To be selected for this role you must be creative, have strong initiative and situational awareness, be technically minded and thorough, be a great communicator and genuinely enjoy making people look great, and have an eye for quality and detail. What You'll Do Day to Day Take professional photographs in studio and on location for our corporate client base Manage shoots end to end to produce images that have value to clients Use your lighting and camera expertise to make photos look great and on brief Use software such as Lightroom and Photoshop in your workflow Work with our in‑house retouchers to ensure client briefs are met Recommend creative ideas to exceed client expectations and add value Use your creative knowledge to enhance and compose photographs Speak with clients regularly to understand their current and upcoming needs Bring an innovative approach to image creation and embrace new technologies Skills and experience Understanding of camera equipment Understanding of studio and location lighting Understanding of balancing ambient and flash Google Workspace Understanding how imagery is used by clients Is a self‑starter with strong interpersonal skills Has the ability to multi‑task and has great time‑management skills Has excellent verbal and written communication skills Has the ability to work and think independently Has a mature and professional approach to customers and clients Is punctual Is able to work flexible hours to meet client needs Enjoys an office environment and collaborating with other members of the team Has a growth mindset Job benefits and perks The studio is centrally located in Port Melbourne, with a relaxed open‑plan office and a busy but not hectic schedule. The studio and office are air‑conditioned in Summer and heated in Winter. There is unlimited all day parking and we have a great coffee machine for awesome coffee whenever you need a pick me up. Up the road we've got a bunch of great food and drink options including Colonial Brewery Co. and Starward Whisky distillery.
